Emma Clay, PMHNP-BC, MSN
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practicer
Hello! My name is Emma Clay, and I am a Boston-based Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in the care of children, adolescents, and young adults. Supporting young people and their families has always been at the heart of my work. I am committed to providing compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive mental health care. Having grown up and trained in Boston, earning my nursing degree at Simmons and my master’s degree at Northeastern University, I am proud to serve the community that is my home.
I began my nurse practitioner career working with children and adolescents at a community health center, where I had the opportunity to care for individuals and families from a wide range of backgrounds. This experience shaped my approach to treatment and reinforced the importance of meeting patients where they are. I previously worked as a nurse in higher-acuity settings, including inpatient psychiatry at Boston Children’s Hospital, caring for youth with complex medical and mental-health needs.

I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and trauma. I take a developmentally informed, evidence-based approach and strongly value collaboration. I work closely with families, therapists, schools, and other providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care. My goal is to create a supportive, welcoming space where children, adolescents, young adults, and their families feel heard, understood, and empowered as we work together toward resilience, growth, and lasting well-being.
