Kelly Hancock, PMHNP-BC

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practicer

I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with a master’s degree from Walden University. I am passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to patients of all ages. I possess strong clinical skills enhanced by my natural ability to build rapport with patients and families. I follow evidence-based guidelines blended with my clinical experience, personal observation, and intuition. In my role as a PMHNP,

I am multifaceted, serving as an educator, mental health advocate, and advisor. My focus is on treating mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management, and psychotherapeutic intervention. I concentrate on creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration, and evidence-based practice. My goal for my clients is to feel empowered to treat their illness through supportive education in a stigma-free environment. I believe in a collaborative partnership with my clients so that a mutually agreed upon plan of action can be developed to have the greatest chances of success.
